Artwork prep

File Requirements

Follow these guidelines to get sharp, vibrant DTF transfers—ready to press, no surprises.

Format

Upload PNG with a transparent background. (Vectors like AI/PDF/SVG are fine to create the art, but export as 300 DPI PNG for upload.)

Resolution

Design at 300 DPI at the final print size. Upscaling tiny images will look soft—start with high-res artwork.

Color

Design in RGB; we handle profiles. Avoid “overprint” or special spot colors. Solid fills print best for fine text.

Transparency

Remove any white box around the design. Avoid semi-transparent pixels on thin text—they can look dusty.

Minimum Details

Keep strokes/lines at least 0.5–0.75 mm (≈ 2–3 px at 300 DPI). Small gaps may close when pressed.

Bleed & Safety

Keep important elements 2–3 mm from the edge. For ultra-thin edges, add a tiny stroke for strength.

Gang Sheets

Place designs with 6–10 mm spacing for easy cutting. Keep each design grouped/merged—no hidden layers.

File Size

Keep under your theme’s upload limit (Shopify usually allows large images, but very huge files slow checkout). Compress if needed—never reduce resolution below 300 DPI.

File Names

Use clear names like brand_design-size-qty.png. Avoid non-English characters or spaces.
